Where our neurodiversity story started

We have worked in the neurodivergence and disability sector for over 20 years, gaining experience with organisations spanning a variety of sectors and higher education institutions across the UK.

In that time we’ve worked with hundreds of companies, delivered over 10,000 assessments, and supported over 40,000 individuals. Not only do we bring a breadth of professional experience, we’ve also got personal experience of neurodivergence in the family, and have built a team around us that share in the same values as we do,

Over time we wanted more people to benefit from our experience and knowledge of neurodivergence and mental and physical health conditions.

Our goal was to share everything we’d learned about what works and what doesn’t when supporting neurodivergent individuals.

We wanted to help organisations put effective support in place in order to deliver tanglible results for the individual, the line manager, the team, and the organisation, as we’d seen first-hand how productive and transformative the right support can be.

Changes we’ve seen in neurodiversity

Looking back, we don’t think we could have set up Aim Forward 10 or 20 years ago. The world wasn’t ready for it.  Very few organisations were exploring mental health or neurodiversity as strategic pillars for growth.

We’ve watched in awe over the last 2 decades as our understanding of mental health and neurodiversity gained momentum in the UK. We are well ahead of many other countries (in fact, we could argue that in some areas we are world leading), but we still have a long way to go.

We watch with admiration as the world around us changes. From the increasing numbers of people feeling comfortable to share and celebrate their neurodivergence, to the growing numbers of parents recognising traits in themselves as they see their children grow and develop, to the changes in flexible working that are materialising in the workplace, to the number of organisations responding to staff surveys asking for neurodivergent support at work. We’re proud to be part of these changes.

Aim Forward: Supporting neurodivergence in the workplace

We’re passionate experts who feel privileged to help organisations navigate their own balance between an individuals’ needs and the organisations’ objective to grow and deliver.

We know it can be challenging to navigate this balance at times, but we live for those moments when an organisation realises that the right strategies can actually benefit productivity and deliver results too.

This is what is at the heart of Aim Forward. Designing solutions that put both individuals and the organisation at the centre of the process. It’s not just about supporting an individual, its about tailored solutions to empower organisations to meet their legal obligations, implement effective adjustments, boost productivity, performance and inclusivity.

If you’re looking to build a productive and inclusive team, or take the guesswork out of reasonable adjustments, then get in touch to find out how we can help today.
