What is ADHD? 

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodivergent condition characterised by difficulties with attention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Historically, young boys have been much more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD.  However, it can affect people of all ages and often persists in adulthood, particularly in women who have not been diagnosed at an early age.  

Why take our ADHD test? 

If you suspect you have ADHD or have been told you may have it, our free ADHD test is a helpful way to understand more about yourself and whether you may have traits of ADHD. For example, you may struggle to focus on your exams, complete tasks at work, remember important information or find social situations stressful. 

This free ADHD test is not designed to give you a diagnosis, this can only be done by a qualified professional. Instead, you may find the questions and results useful to understand if you are displaying the common behaviours and thoughts associated with ADHD. 

What to expect in the test? 

You’ll answer 12 questions and scenarios focusing on attention, impulsivity and other traits of ADHD. The questions will explore topics like focus, time management and organisation. Once you’ve completed the test we will ask you to share your name and email address so we can send your free results via email. Based on your answers, your results will indicate whether you have no traits of ADHD, some signs or a strong possibility of ADHD.  

What are the benefits of taking our free ADHD test?  

Taking our ADHD test can help you to understand if you have traits of ADHD. This can empower you to investigate further support and explore either a professional diagnosis or needs assessment as a way to put strategies in place to help with focus, organisation and impulse control.  

How should I answer the test? 

Answer the questions honestly and openly to benefit from a personalised set of results. Whilst your answers will only give you an indication of potential traits, at Aim Forward, we are confident that we can help you understand how your brain operates, and help you put strategies in place to help you thrive across different areas of your life. 

What do I do once I have my results? 

Understanding if you have neurodivergent traits can provide validation and empower you to navigate work, study and life more confidently. You can leverage your strengths and challenges by embracing new strategies.  

If the tests highlight you have neurodivergent traits, you can seek a diagnosis. Free online ADHD tests can be a useful place to start when you are in the early stages of exploring your neurodivergence, but they do not give you a diagnosis.
